Flexible track lighting has attained such popularity; nowadays you can find it in many public places like restaurants, museums, art galleries, family celebrations, libraries and conference rooms.

Meddling with lighting system is a scary proposition to many of us. But like any other job, installing the flexible track lighting is matter of learning some basic steps and following the manufacturer’s instructions. You need to gather certain tools. Voltage tester to make sure the electric system is turned off, screw drivers to fix the track, ladder if you want to work on high ceiling apartments, and of course the track and bulbs. The track lighting kit usually has most of the components needed for the job.
As in any electrical job, first turn off the circuit. Test with voltage tester. If you are installing in place of an old lighting system, remove that one first. Then check the wires to make sure they are in usable condition. Then mount the flexible lighting track on the ceiling or wall and use the suitable screws to keep it in place safely. Bulb and socket assembly can be placed anywhere along the track. Also place the track heads along the track anywhere you want.
One problem is, different manufacturers have different flexible track lighting systems and sometimes it poses problem in procuring the right part when necessary.
